Post 8: Production Report

The shooting of our filming went quite well, we were an organised group and got all the filming done within one time so no re-filming had to be done.
The first time we arranged to do our filming we were unable to as there was a class in the library at the time and had we continue to film we would've distracted them and they would've distracted us. Therefore we re-arranged the time of our filming to after school so that nobody would disturb us through filming, this was the first problem we encountered and overcame.

However we encounter several other problems whilst filming one of those being there was a meeting in the library during our filming. This was a problem as we could hear their voices in the background so we had to ask them to move slightly further away in order for their voices not to be heard on the camera.

Overall I think we worked well as a team throughout the process of planning and filming our preliminary task. A reason why the filming went well was because we were, as a group, prepared to film, we took our time with getting the right shots and we followed the storyboard throughout the process of filming. Not only this but if somebody didn't understand or was confused with something we would work as a team, discuss it together and then move on when the whole group was happy.

I think the footage we got was good, however there could've been a few improvements. There could've been a couple of improvements in the filming such as when Charley walks over to the chair it's clear that the camera is slightly further back because of the amount of steps it takes Charley to get to the table. Another improvement is when Charley runs out of the library at the end of the film, there is more of a jump cut which isn't what we wanted, so if we could do it again then this would definitely be an improvement and would help with keeping the continuity.
I think we have abided by the rules of continuity as there are no major continuity errors throughout the film, there are just one or two minor errors that we can aim to improve in the next task.
